Regional Winners Compete April 5 in NARI’s National Awards
Congratulations to the members of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) North Texas chapter earning Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) awards. And now, these regional award-winners move on to compete in the National CotY Awards program. The national awards will be announced on April 5 during NARI’s Annual Conference in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
This year, a near record of 602 NARI members entered the CotY Awards, submitting projects across 43 categories. Collectively, the entries represented more than $230 million worth of remodeling projects.
What Do the Judges Look For?
Quality of Workmanship: product selection, precision of carpentry, installation of fixtures, attention to detail in finishes
Functionality: layout efficiency, flow between rooms, and overall use of space in the newly renovated areas
Aesthetics: design choices, color schemes, and overall aesthetic coherence
Durability and Longevity: quality materials and construction techniques that will withstand regular wear and tear over time, reducing the need for future epairs or replacements
Energy Efficiency: This includes such upgrades as insulation, windows, appliances, and HVAC systems to reduce energy waste.
Budget/Value: most bang for the buck in each price category, and also the added value to the property after the remodel.
