Men on both sides of his family had hair loss, so it was genetics and a matter of time that caused Aryon ShahAhmadi’s hair loss. When the first signs of male pattern baldness began to emerge in his 20s, he decided to do something about it.
Aryon was working for Apple Computers in Atlanta when he underwent a hair transplant. He talks of his own experience and those of others he has witnessed after “getting their hair back.”
“People say they look and begin to feel 10 years younger. I’ve seen people find the confidence to achieve more or the inspiration to lose weight after undergoing the process,” he said.

The hair transplant experience was so life-changing for Aryon ShahAhmadi, his passion became telling others about it. He moved here to join the Advanced Hair Dallas team and is now a Senior Consultant for one of the most experienced hair restoration teams in the nation.

How it Works
Years ago, doctors first experimented with transplanting hair follicles to treat scars on the scalp eyebrow and mustache areas. The successful results proved that hair retained its characteristics and continued to grow in the new location.
Since then, hair transplantation has evolved from rudimentary techniques with limited success to sophisticated procedures that offer natural-looking and long-lasting results. The continuous improvement in surgical methods and technology promises even better outcomes for individuals seeking hair restoration solutions.
The concept of “donor dominance” is fundamental
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure where hair follicles are moved from a part of the body known as the “donor site” to a bald or balding part of the body known as the “recipient site.” These donor area follicles are genetically resistant to the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is responsible for androgenetic alopecia (pattern baldness). And the genetic characteristic of hair follicles from the donor area (typically the back or sides of the scalp) continue growing even after being transplanted to a new location.
The transferred tissue is not “rejected” as it is not foreign tissue. The transplanted hair maintains its own characteristics of color, texture, growth rate, and curl after transplantation and regrowth. Continued advancements in technology, such as improved tools, better understanding of hair growth cycles, and refined surgical techniques, further refined the process allowing for even smaller grafts and more natural-looking results.
Advanced Hair typically uses Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), a less invasive alternative with faster recovery time and reduced visible scarring. In FUE, individual follicular units of 1, 2 or 3 hairs are extracted directly from the donor area using a tiny punch tool. Then the follicles are inserted into micro-incisions at the recipient site, taking care to implant them at the correct depth and angle to mimic natural hair growth. This allows for long-lasting results and helps individuals achieve a fuller, natural-looking head of hair.
Yes, it’s expensive. But it’s a one-time purchase.
Advanced Hair uses your own natural hair and guarantees that the transplanted hair will grow for life. Financing plans are available.
The many five-star Google reviews say:
“It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my entire life.”
“The results are better than I could ever have imagined.”
“If you’re sitting on the fence — just do it… You’ll be really, really happy.”
“I do have one regret… I should have done it sooner.”
Most people are surprised at how little pain and recovery time there is.
The process takes most of a single day. The office is modern and comfortable, and you’ll be treated to lunch during your appointment.
The skin is anesthetized with a numbing medicine throughout the process. After surgery, small scabs form on the scalp at the graft sites. Most patients wear a baseball cap for a while and take a couple of days off work after surgery. Some facial swelling after the procedure is normal. And the scalp areas tend to itch a little as they heal. Special shampoo and cream are provided to relieve this. Any swelling and scabbing generally disappears in four to seven days post-op.
It’s most common for the transplanted hair follicles to begin to grow and then fall out. Then, new growth begins two to four months later, with full results about a year after the procedure.
