Based on Ram’s award-winning half ton pickup, the Grand Wagoneer answers to those with a full load of passengers and luggage. But they’ll need a six-figure budget to satisfy their taste for luxury, comfort, tech conveniences and driving aids. Plenty of pocket money is also required to pay at the pump to run this big boy.
Powerful and Capable
The mega-sized Grand Wagoneer may be the perfect fit for those also needing to pull a trailer behind three rows of passengers. And anyone can appreciate that unladen, this massive four-wheel drive vehicle can reach 60 mph in less than 6 seconds. For others, adaptive air suspension providing up to 10 inches of ground clearance is the selling point. The Grand Wagoneer indeed lives up to all that it Jeep heritage stands for when it comes to off-road capability.
Our tester featured the upgraded engine choice, a turbocharged inline six-cylinder (good for 510 hp, 500 lb-ft). With a combined EPA rating of just 17 mpg, the big bad Grand Wagoneer is not for those seeking fuel economy! But it does check the boxes for luxury appointments. All the full-tilt luxury options from Level I and Level II were bundled into our top-shelf Series III model. It also added quilted leather upholstery. And ours sported nearly all the extras offered beyond that. A $2,200 Rear Seat Entertainment Group package added Amazon Fire TV and 10.1” rear screens. And a heavy-duty trailer-tow package added another grand to the price. But why stop there? An Obsidian trim package added blacked-out roof and wheels and more black accents inside and out. All in, with destination charges the total price was $114,180.

It will be interesting to see how much the premium will be for the Grand Wagoneer 4Xe coming for 2025 and what it will do to improve the Grand Wagonner’s fuel rating.
