Ford’s Goes All-Aluminum Body on Best Selling F150; Retains DNA on New Mustang

Fully redesigned with an all-aluminum body, the 2015 Ford F-150 offers nimble handling, spacious cabin and powerful turbocharged V6 engine options.  

The Ford team aslo had their hands full when they were challenged to improve every aspect of the just-released sixth generation 2015 Mustang. 

Fully redesigned with an all-aluminum body, the 2015 Ford F-150 offers nimble handling, spacious cabin and powerful turbocharged V6 engine options.  The 2015 F-150 has a base 3.5-liter V6 engine, a newly available EcoBoost 2.7-liter or 3.5-liter V6.  A V8 is also optional. With the base engine and rear-wheel drive, the F-150 gets an EPA-estimated 18/25 mpg city/highway.  The redesigned 2015 Ford F-150’s cabin is constructed with high-quality, soft-touch materials and  comfortable seats.  Available features include Ford’s SYNC voice command system, a USB port, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, the newest generation MyFord Touch infotainment system, adaptive cruise control and navigation.  The new Ford F150s start at about $26.6K, midlevel Lariats are around $40K and the top end King Ranch and Platinum models top out north of $55K.

The Ford team had their hands full when they were challenged to improve every aspect of the just-released 6th generation 2015 Mustang.  The challenge was to deliver the best driving, best looking, safest, most comfortable, and highest level of finish Mustang to date–and also the most technologically advanced, all while retaining the soul and DNA of the iconic brand.  The 2015 is the first Mustang that is available worldwide.  While the standard 300 HP V6 and a 435 HP 5.0 are available, most of the buzz will be around the 310 HP 2.3 liter, 4CYL EcoBoost engine which delivers a continuous power band without any turbo lag, all the while achieving 31 MPG HWY and 22 City! The EcoBoost COUPE Premium model can be ordered with Recaro leather seats and a performance package which includes an extensive list of appearance, technology and performance enhancements.  So many options skews the price range from $23,600 to $50K.
