The Army Scholarship Foundation serves military families by raising funds to provide college scholarships to spouses, sons and daughters of soldiers in the United States Army. But, funds for the scholarships mainly come from the Foundation’s Help our Heroes Luncheon. So, mark your calendar for October 24, 2023 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum.

Honoring Military Families

Folds of Honor also awards scholarships to military families. The education funds are awarded to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. In addition, Folds of Honor is expanding to incorporate scholarships for spouses and children of America’s first responders. So, families of police, fire-fighters, EMTs and paramedics are also eligible. The Folds of Honor North Texas Annual Gala is scheduled for November 11, 2023 at AT&T Stadium.

“Adventure Awaits” at the Zoo to Do

Harrison Edell Dallas Zoo Executive V.P. of Animal Care and Conservation and Chief Mission Officer;  Zoo-to-Do Chairs Thai-Lan Tran and Steven J. Roth, Honorary Chairs Lyda Hill and Sean Green Executive Vice President of Park Operations and Dallas Zoo COO
The reveal party was graciously hosted by Gretchen and George Seay.

There is nothing subtle about a party where live flamingoes stroll the gardens; a leopard tortoise makes the rounds, a Eurasian eagle owl eyes the crowd and an opossum enjoys snacking on his favorite treats. All of this happened courtesy of the Dallas Zoo’s Animal Adventures Outreach program at the Zoo To Do theme reveal garden party.

Choose your Safari Chic attire and join in the fun November 4, 2023 for the 32nd annual Zoo To Do at the Dallas Zoo!  This event is the major source of funding for the nonprofit Dallas Zoo, bringing in more than $1 million each year.
