Builder needs include tackling supply chain disruptions and the labor shortage. With time delay costs and labor wage increases up to 20% and still climbing, the key to maintaining momentum is through partnerships, diversifying supplies, and exploring innovative construction techniques.
Products and programs that take safety to the next level and reduce exposure to risks associated with poor quality installs and those that reduce complex installation were the standouts at the 2024 building product shows.
Builders, remodelers, developers and other home building professionals filled the exhibit halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center last month as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) hosted the 80th NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS). This year also marked the 11th anniversary of Design & Construction Week® (DCW), the co-location of IBS and the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s (NKBA’s) Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS).
DCW drew over 117,000 attendees, and more than 2,400 exhibitors occupied over one million net square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits. This milestone attendance, representing more than 100 countries and the highest level since 2009, reflects the bullish outlook of the residential construction industry. DCW will return to Las Vegas, February 25-27, 2025.
