HAPPENING THIS MONTH AT THE MANOR

Danelle and Dash’s niece and her family will be spending Christmas at the DeVille manor with their loved ones.  The niece happens to be one of the 2023 Dallas Symphony Orchestra League’s debutantes!  (see below)

Dash has found AWARE’s online resources for caregivers (content developed in collaboration with AWARE grant recipient AT&T Baylor Memory Care) a great resource as he cares for his aging mother.  And he has ordered Beverly Smirnis’s books Anna from Atlanta and Anna of Iowa as a special holiday gift for his mother’s caretaker who works with Elderly Care Concierge, a business owned by Bluffview resident Sherri Sparks.

As the DeVilles mark their calendars for some of the events listed below, they strive to look and feel their best.  OMG!  The fall trip to the French Riviera resulted in few extra pounds for Danelle, and with all of these events to attend, she needs to shed them fast. We shared our own experience with the “battle of the bulge,” offering some resources for jump-starting a Keto diet and another secret weapon—SkinnyBod shots, available at Bodyology. We also referred her to Kendra Tilleman at Skinfinity for toning up (without exercise)!

Inspired by hearing Lady Fiona Carnarvon (The Right Honorable Countess of Carnarvon) speak at the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum’s 16th Annual A Writer’s Garden last month, Danelle is intent on grooming and making updates to the manor’s grounds.  Why should the DeVille manor in Dallas be any less spectacular?

At the A Writer’s Garden event, we introduced her to Gail McCrory, Horticulturalist, a woman who shares Lady Carnarvon’s appreciation for all things outdoors.  We also shared some ideas for updating her Outdoor Living Space and recommended Manorly Home Concierge Management for the outdoor update project.

The plan is, that over the winter, while the garden area is being spiffed up, the DeVilles will plan a spring garden party.  Dash is consulting with The Young Aficionado as he wants to be savvy on the best liquors and cigars to serve on the back terrace.  He is also working with DeVance Electronic Lifestyle to upgrade the home electronics inside and out of the manor.

But first things first, Dash has decided that under the Christmas tree at the DeVille manor this year will be some key fobs!  Danelle and the kids, Dewey and Delilah, are overdue for new wheels, so he is reviewing what The Savvy Drivers have to say.  As a present for the whole family, he’s planning to make an investment in international real estate.  Looking for a location that they will enjoy today which also is likely to have an upside as an investment / rental he is going to check out Tulum and Placencia in Belize

By the end of the day, just about every bicycle will be given away at the annual Christmas in the Park event
Betsy and Richard Eiseman with 2023 DSOL Presentation Ball Chair Karen Cox.

The 2023 Debutantes are: Britton Barcus, Margaret Bracken, Stephanie Ciarochi, Kate Clark, Sarah Crow, Elena Dewar, Gracie Dix, Natalie Duvall, Arden Eiland, Charlotte Esping, Kaitlin Ann Kelly, Celeste Lay, Ella Marks, Ellie Michaelson, Lydia Pigott, Morgan Potter, Sasha Schwimmer, Ellie Steindorf, Catherine Stiles, Elizabeth Thompson, Lucy Tilden, CeCe Tribolet, Danielle Ward and Paige Williams

It’s been a busy seaon for the 2023 Dallas Symphony Orchestra League debutantes—from last Spring’s Announcement Party to a busy summer of fun events held for debs, Honor Guard and their parents, to the pre-Thanksgiving seated dinner at The Meyerson followed by a weekend mixer and Bow Boot Camp. Eisenman Jewels also hosted a holiday event honoring Debutante and Honor Guard Parents and Patrons.  During the Christmas Holidays, the debs will return for another busy schedule of parties and bow practice.

All the many events will culminate with the 37th Presentation Ball which will be held on February 11, 2023.

AWARE will be accepting grant applications for 2023 through January 9. Grants are awarded annually to nonprofit organizations located in Dallas and the greater North Texas area for Alzheimer’s related Programs/Services and/or Research.
