Affordable-Minded Thrill Seekers Love BMW M2

Affordable-Minded Thrill Seekers love 2023 BMW M2

The 2023 BMW M2 is the brand’s entry-level rear-wheel-drive coupe with MSRP of $63, 195.

Affordable-minded thrill seekers appreciate that they too can own an M Series. “M” represents BMW’s lineup of high-performance vehicles. The 2023 BMW M2 has the same twin-turbo inline-six-cylinder gas engine as the M4. And that delivers 453 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque and revs up to 7,200 rpm to the M2.  Our tester had the standard 6-speed manual transmission and a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds.  Indeed, the manual version would be the true enthusiast’s choice.  But an 8-speed M Sport with automatic transmission is also available, rated with an even better 0-60 mph time of just 3.9 seconds. And the automatic version can be remote started from a smartphone using the BMW App.

The M2 features aggressive styling cues, including distinctive M series body elements such as flared wheel arches, a sporty front bumper, quad exhaust pipes, and M badges. Those affordable-minded thrill seekers will still find what their looking for on the 2023 BMW M2 interior, too. It has the M-specific steering wheel, a fully digital dash, carbon-fiber trim accents, and advanced infotainment and technology features. Supportive sport seats do the job of holding you in place, but they are not exactly cushy. And the extra stiffening added the chassis for the M series makes it all about sports driving. But adaptive suspension dampers and 10-mode stability control settings do help.

More Reasons Why M2 is a Pleaser for Affordable-Minded Thrill Seekers

Cargo capacity is a standout feature of the 2023 M2 Coupe. 13.8 cubic feet is a lot for the category.  And rear folding seats allow for even more. The M2 is equipped with Comfort Access technology that lets you lock and unlock your BMW without having to take your key out of your pocket. And the My BMW App keeps you updated on tire pressure and fuel levels.  Standard features will also delight the crowd of affordable-minded thrill seekers. They include Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information,  Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Lane Departure Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, and Active Lane Keeping Assistant.

Compare the M2 to Mercedes A Class.  And compare the differences between the M2 and the M4.
