Since they first became a couple, the Smirnis team has enjoyed travel, food and wine. Their backgrounds in hospitality, public relations, marketing and journalism led to published freelance articles, which earned them invitations to explore, taste and toast across the country and across the world.

Smirnis & Smirnis Communications was the first business they started together, a public relations firm that specialized in working with the winemaking industry and representing various fine artists.

Publishing for the homebuilding, hospitality and automotive industries was the next stop on their path. What started as a project of their communications company grew into a decades-long career in the world of specialty publications. 

In the past decade, their publishing activities evolved into the luxury consumer realm.  Though their Estate Life magazines, they became immersed in Dallas’ cultural and philanthropic events, growing to share the great passion that Dallasites possess for making a difference in their community.
