When attending a show of this magnitude, set yourself aside for a couple of days.

Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023 is a show you cannot walk through in a single day. The show itself is five days so take your time. The three foremost attractions at the show are the docks and tents over at Bahia Mar, the Superyacht Village by Pier 66 and the Convention Center across the waterway.

Plan to show up early to get good parking and bring some extra cash to pay for your parking space and water taxis Take Note! UBERS are very limited inside the FLIBS ecosystem. It primarily focuses on using the shuttles, so keep an eye out for shuttle pickup when looking for a parking spot. I prefer to park over by the Superyacht Village for $25 a day. There is a shuttle right outside.

Consider purchasing a ticket for the Windward VIP Experience.

Tickets are $375 and are valid for one day.  They can be used for Preview Day on Wednesday, or for regular show dates Thursday through Sunday.  Your ticket to the Windward VIP Experience also includes complimentary golf cart transportation.  Last year, service was provided by ICON Electric Vehicles to and from the Windward VIP Club and Superyacht Village, as well as complimentary shuttle service and water taxi access to and from all seven show locations and VIP areas, which makes your life easy.

If you decide to be VIP, catch that shuttle and take it to the Bahia Mar Yachting Center’s Captain’s Lounge.  There, you’ll find a private indoor and outdoor luxury retreat with gourmet food options and a premium open bar with tastings.   (We enjoyed Whitehaven, Ketel One Botanical, Tanqueray, and Crown Royal.)

Your Windward VIP pass will give you access to the show one hour early through the Bahia Mar South Entrance. Other perks included a nice tote bag and access to the LaVictoire Finance team, providing financial service solutions for those looking to finance their dream boat.

Looking for an even more extraordinary experience?

You can purchase the Windward VIP + Fort Lauderdale Concours Bundled Ticket ($495) and attend the Fort Lauderdale Concours event featuring one-of-a-kind classic cars with live entertainment, cocktails, and canapés at Superyacht Village at Pier Sixty-Six South. You will be captivated by celebrated car collections, rarely-seen classic and iconic cars, fine art, fashion, and a unique curation of high-end collectible sneakers displayed to match select cars’ aesthetics.

For day one, start by Bahia Mar, where most of the outdoor show takes place. You can find out about all of your favorite boat manufacturers. Go in the tents and find the latest electronics, submersibles, fishing gear, and more. Stop and grab a snack at one of the many food vendors outside the tents. Most of your eats are over in this area.

When you feel you have gotten your fix over at Bahia Mar, take the water taxi back to Superyacht Village. Considered the “Venice of America,” this exclusive marina features the most awe-inspiring watercraft at the show. Guests can window-shop world-famous vessels aboard or meet with famed yacht builders to discuss their next excursion on the sea. After relaxing on the renowned superyachts, attendees can unwind while grabbing a drink at the SYV bar overlooking the beautiful marina. Anchored at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina’s “Pier South” property, Superyacht Village is adjacent to the southeast corner of the 17th Street Causeway bridge.

After Super Yacht Village, hop back on that water taxi. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023 continues inside the Convention Center. There you’ll find even more treasures–boats, gadgets, and exotic cars. Be prepared to drool all over again!

I’ll see you in October!

Yes, we saw tons of beautiful…Boats!
